My foundation
Operations. Networking. Cybersecurity.
My path has taken me through operations and networking into full time cybersecurity. Each part of that journey shapes how I approach a problem and communicate what I find.
A little about me
Hey, I’m Dee!
I’m a mom of twins, a cybersecurity professional, and someone who genuinely enjoys learning new things. My journey into cybersecurity wasn’t exactly a straight line, but looking back, I wouldn’t change much about it.
My background includes operations, networking, and IT, and somewhere along the way, I decided cybersecurity was where I wanted to be. I went back to school, earned my bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance, picked up quite a few certifications along the way, and I’m currently working on my master’s.
I created Dee’s Cyber Corner because I wanted a space to share my journey beyond a résumé or a LinkedIn post. Somewhere I could document what I’m working on, talk about things I’ve learned, share resources that helped me, and maybe help someone who’s trying to figure out their own path.
You’ll find a little bit of everything here: cybersecurity projects, hands-on labs, resources, blog posts, and lessons I’ve picked up along the way. I’m still learning myself, and that’s part of the fun.
And yes, I do have a life outside of tech! I enjoy reading, building LEGO sets, and making time for self-care. Sometimes I just want to relax, clear my mind, and enjoy the moment without thinking about work, school, or what I need to do next. I’m big on faith, personal growth, and finding balance along the way.
I don’t have everything figured out, and I don’t pretend to. I’ve had my share of setbacks, changed directions a few times, and learned a lot about myself in the process.
If there’s one thing I hope you take away from being here, it’s that your journey doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s.
Welcome to my little corner of the internet.
Progress over perfection.

Education and growth
I earned my bachelor’s in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance at WGU in March 2026. I’m now working on my master’s and growing toward AI security, building on my foundation in security engineering and architecture.

I’m a mom of twins. Faith, reading, building LEGO sets, and making time for self-care are part of my world too. This corner makes room for the person behind the projects.
